What type of fitness training
is BODYATTACK®?
BODYATTACK® is a cardiovascular
training program which stands at the
endurance end of the cardio respiratory
training continuum. Pardon? BODYATTACK®
makes you puff, and sweat as it causes
your heart rate to soar. Think of "The
Chair"! The training effect of
BODYATTACK® is such that it improves
performance by encouraging participants
to exercise closer to their anaerobic
threshold, which improves stamina. Eh?
BODYATTACK® will make you fitter.
As a specific fitness program,
BODYATTACK® provides excellent cross
training for recreational activities and
sports that require intense repetitive
bursts such as rollerblading, tennis,
basketball, rugby and soccer. At a
muscular conditioning level the overload
on upper and lower muscular groups
during short, repeated intervals closely
mimics the activity of many sports,
providing general and specific
conditioning. This means you might just
look sharper too.
What should I bring to a
BODYATTACK® class?
You will need supportive shoes
designed to reduce impact. High quality
running, aerobics or cross-training
shoes are best. You will sweat so you
should WEAR aerobics or running clothes
that breathe, BRING a towel, and a DRINK
bottle to replace fluids during and
after class. You'll also need a really
great attitude so that you're ready to
go hard.
How fit do you need to be to
do BODYATTACK®?
BODYATTACK® is for people who like to
push themselves and accept a physical
challenge. If you have a family history
of heart disease, high blood pressure or
other health conditions, or if you are
under medication or have an injury then
you should discuss the suitability of
BODYATTACK® with a doctor or qualified
personal trainer.
